I have a Trane XR80. The red light flashes 4 times. I have cleaned and checked everything I can think of. The limit switch trips after about 10 minutes of heat. I jumped the switch to make sure, and the unit will run fine. I know that this is not the fix, but I wanted to make it was isolated to the limit switch. The controller will indicate a fault condition by flashing the fault LED. The flashing pattern will be ¼ second on and ¼ second off for each count, if multiple faults are present it will dwell 2 seconds between each fault code, then dwell 5 seconds and repeat until the fault(s) are cleared.
